Information about the Voting Precincts:

Clicking on the Title Above will give a chart of all the Voting Precincts, list in in Precinct Number Order.  Your Voter's Registration Card will tell you in which Voting Precinct you are directly above your name and address and below your gender designation.

Voting Precincts are the only place you may vote on Election Days.  You may vote early in the places designated by the Wise County Elections Administrator's Office.  You also may vote by mail in ballot if you have reason not to be able to vote otherwise.

Each Voting Precinct has a Precinct Chairman of each political party (Republican or Democrat).  Each Voting Precinct has an Election Judge (which often is the Precinct Chairman, but does not have to be).  The Precinct Chairmen compose the Executive Committee of the political party, and are subject to election every two years in the Primary Elections.  Any registered voter living in the geography of that Voting Precinct may file to run for election in any Primary Election to become the Precinct Chairman and a member of the party Executive Committee.  Some people chose only to serve as an Election Judge, an appointed position.

The Chart you will see when you click on the title above will show the four Voting Precincts where two candidates are contending for the Precinct Chairman position.  The rest of the Precincts either are vacant of a single incumbent Precinct Chairman is not challenged for election.
